Around 35 of us meet at the Quaker Meeting House at 2.0 pm on the 3rd Monday in the month until 4.0 pm, with tea & biscuits at 3.0 pm, with no meeting in August or December.
We aim to provide a platform for lively and humorous discussion for all. Normally we have an introduction by an outside expert. Previous subjects have included ‘Is the Law an Ass?’ by Roy Gardiner (retired solicitor), ‘Hope & Uncertainty- Three Victorian Poems’ by Susette Hill (successful author), ‘Traditional Farming’, ‘How does Britain value its Children?’ by a GP, ‘Does Britain need Nuclear Power’ by an atomic scientist, ‘What makes good Music?’ by a music master, ‘Spiritualism’ with a Medium, ‘Is Authorship achievable?’ and ‘Whither Education’ by Jon Beer.
New members always welcome, for the odd meeting, or on a regular basis.
